2009 Work Session M1/M2

August 26, 2009. The replacement of rotten siding on the box cars continued throughout the second work session until we ran out of siding on Thursday. This photo shows the north sides of box cars MS 501, MS 502, and MS 505 on Wednesday. The siding covering the openings left when the doors were removed on MS 502 and MS 505 has been painted box car red, as has all the new siding on MS 502 that replaces the siding that had to be removed for the side sill repair. The siding covering the door opening on MS 501 has only the primer paint in lavender and red. It will receive a coat of box car red before the end of the work session. Photo by Roger Breeding.
